Statement of Work

Administrative/Clerical Support

Quality Management Service

 

 

The contract employee will provide administrative and clerical support to the Quality Management Section and specifically the Accreditation Readiness Coordinator for the Office of the Director.

Tour of duty for this position is 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The contract employee will be stationed at the York VA campus, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, but may occasionally be required to travel to the Nashville campus, 1310 24th Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee.

Normal duties will include answering phones and routing of calls; the entry of data in spreadsheets and tracking forms; the recording and transcribing into final format of meeting minutes; filing; preparation of correspondence; scheduling of meetings; logistical support and scheduling of interviews for regulatory assessments and/or compliance visits; assembling of work products for regulatory visits; updating Quality Management site on VA intranet;  posting to SharePoint; preparation of reports and handouts for presentations, tracking and monitoring of correspondence and other inquiries for which responses are required from the Office of the Director; and, other general administrative support functions.  As part of the Executive Office support team, the contract employee may be called upon from time-to-time to assist patients and family members with the resolution of problems.

Knowledge of routine office operations, and basic skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.  The individual will need the ability to effectively communicate with others both in writing and verbally.  Training on VA specific job duties and computer systems will be provided.
