About the Opportunity

Service Specialists is conducting a confidential search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a well-established, multi-site healthcare organization with an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and is supported by a private equity partner. This role requires a proven healthcare executive who can successfully balance physician engagement, operational performance, and ownership expectations while maintaining a strong, patient-focused culture. This individual is responsible for driving enterprise-wide performance through strategic leadership, operational rigor, and strong physician partnerships. This leader will oversee all clinic and ASC operations, ensure alignment of strategy and execution, and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for all clinical practices and the Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Lead, mentor, and develop Directors and senior leadership team members
• Drive leadership development, succession planning, and retention strategies
• Establish and manage productivity, quality, and financial performance metrics
• Develop and oversee operating and capital budgets
• Lead strategic planning initiatives to support growth, efficiency, and market expansion
• Partner with physician leadership to strengthen governance and operational alignment
• Champion patient experience initiatives and continuous quality improvement
• Oversee infrastructure, systems, and technology to improve access and outcomes
• Ensure regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and enterprise risk management
• Lead organizational change, performance improvement, and transformation initiatives
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field required
• Master’s degree preferred (MHA, MBA, or similar)
• Minimum of 10 years of senior executive leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment
• Minimum of 5 years of physician practice management experience preferred
• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading multi-site healthcare operations
• Strong financial, analytical, and operational decision-making skills
• Demonstrated success collaborating with physicians and executive stakeholders
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
