Seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Accounting for a healthcare company. This individual will help promote healthy business growth (vertical and horizontal) by ensuring various financial elements are handled appropriately, such as, establishing and adhering to budgets, strategic forecasting, and assisting with investor, vendor, and contractor negotiations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees employees responsible for financial forecasting, reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Implements internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities.
  • Supervises AP/Payroll Coordinator, Contracting Controller and Coding and Billing Department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinates the company’s financial forecasting, planning, reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
  • Leads the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Leads the development and integration of Direct Primary Care lines of business.
  • Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies development opportunities and improvements that can be made.
  • Provides management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Advises business units on and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policies.
  • Confirms accuracy and oversees filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
  • Collaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audit.
  • Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to successfully multitask.
  • Refined ability to work in a highly matrixed system.
  • Refined proforma development experience/acumen.
  • Working knowledge of organizations applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Masters degree preferred.
  • CPA designation is highly preferred but not required.
  • 3-5years of healthcare operational budget development experience.
  • 3-5years of capital equipment budget development experience.
  • 3-5years of budget variance development/reporting experience.
  • 3-5years of leading/working in a healthcare finance/accounting department.
