Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst for a logistics company in Memphis. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career that is seeking a position with growth potential. This is a developmental position and duties may evolve into other roles.

We are seeking an analytical, result driven professional with a can-do attitude who will work with management to take on the financial and accounting responsibilities of one or more of the company’s divisions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn quickly and problem-solve in a fast paced and detail-oriented environment. The candidate must possess strong attention to detail; work well in a team environment and adhere to critical deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

The position will support all financial matters including but not limited to general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and special projects. The position will also support operations on an as needed basis.

  • Substantial focus will center on accurate revenue recognition across abroad range of services and will include all aspects of the invoicing and collection function
  • Manage all aspects of the accounts receivable process for multiple business units
  • Develop key metric analytics and work with finance and operations management to identify areas for improvement
  • Become an expert user of specialized software. Identify improvements, validate results, and implement solutions within the context of the team
  • Assist in month end, quarter end and year end closing activities
  • Work with various departments on projects as needs arise

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in field of concentration - Accounting/Finance or Business
  • Must pass a TSA background check
  • Background knowledge of machinery/industrial equipment is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (specifically Excel)

Working conditions

This is primarily in an office environment in an industrial setting and may require infrequent work on weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on business needs.
