Grocery Deli Manager
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Deli Manager to oversee a busy grocery store deli that also houses a fast-paced, employee-served restaurant-style buffet. This is a unique opportunity for a strong leader with both grocery and restaurant experience to manage daily operations and a large team in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all deli and restaurant operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of approximately 20 direct reports.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and compliance.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience through quality, speed, and service.
- Manage scheduling, labor costs, and inventory to meet financial goals.
- Collaborate with store leadership to support overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and develop large teams.
- Experience with buffet-style or cafeteria-style service strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, hands-on leadership role.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Work Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with days off on Wednesday and Saturday.
- Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 base salary plus quarterly performance bonuses.
