Plant Manager
Seeking a Plant Manager to direct the functions of manufacturing, purchasing, planning and execution in the revenue generation process. This position is responsible for all activities undertaken by manufacturing in the support of strategic corporate initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
2. Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices in support of growth objectives
3. Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
4. Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
5. Formulate strategic and operational objectives for manufacturing operations
6. Develop and communicate integrated strategic plans with others on the senior leadership team
7. Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
8. Manage budgets and forecasts in alignment with sales and marketing forecasts
9. Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
10. Recruit, train and supervise staff
11. Find ways to increase quality of customer service
12. Establish performance KPIs that connect with strategic goals
Other Duties and Responsibilities
1. Fulfills all applicable QMS requirements and standards.
2. Works with accounting to ensure all jobs, processes and materials have been issued properly
3. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
4. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
5. Develops and fosters a safe working environment
6. Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
7. Respectfully takes direction from executive leadership team.
Requirements
Five to ten years of experience in leadership of a heavy manufacturing environment. Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.
