Position Overview
Service Specialists is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to support a high-impact federal program dedicated to protecting clean water and safe drinking water for communities across the United States and Tribal Lands. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the American people can trust that their water is clean, safe, and resilient, even in times of crisis. The Project Manager will provide scientific, technical, and program leadership during water emergency responses, including the restoration of drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater infrastructure systems. Education Requirements: At a minimum, a Program Manager (PM) shall have: A master’s degree in a physical science, business, or engineering field from an accredited college/university. At least ten (10) years relevant experience in emergency response.
Education Requirements Substitution: In the absence of a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree (physical science, engineering, or business) with at least twelve (12) years or more experience in work relevant drinking water, stormwater, and domestic and industrial wastewater facilities. In the absence of a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree, the proposed program manager shall have a combination of education/training and experience totaling at least fifteen (15) years with emphasis in areas of physical science, engineering, and/or construction management.
Experience Requirements: Relevant experience includes experience in emergency responses related to drinking water, stormwater, and/or domestic and industrial wastewater facilities. Within the 10 years of relevant experience, at least four (4) years of experience shall be in supervising multi- disciplinary professionals and general office management, including budgetary and cost accounting requirement.
