Seeking a Retail and Deposit Operations Manager for a growing bank in Hattiesburg. This individual will establish process and procedures, document those processes and procedures, and train the trainer responsible for each area of Retail and Digital Banking Deposit Operations. This position can be worked remotely in any location.

The individual will also be responsible for maintaining product parameters, implementing pricing changes, participating in projects, and continuously improving process efficiency and adherence.

This role will work closely with Bank Leadership, Risk, AML/BSA, and Contact Center Leadership to ensure the delivery of first-class customer service and maintenance of proper controls for both retail and digital banking. The position will serve as deposit operational support, regularly preparing staff for internal audits regarding frontline and digital process and procedures as well as regulatory compliance, reporting on retail and digital results, and escalating high priority recommendations through the Bank’s formal Risk and Compliance Department structures.


  • Manage physical branch operations performance including establishment, monitoring, and achievement of selected balanced scorecard objectives. Those objectives will focus on customer service, first line risk controls, teller losses, compliance, and other branch related functions.
  • Participate in Project Management both in a participant and leadership role, building new products, enhancing experiences, and digital capabilities through partnering with Technology, Vendors, Marketing, Compliance, and the Bank’s Leadership Team.
  • Develop, document, train, and assist with consumer operations policies and procedures including but not limited to Reg CC holds, Know Your Customer Documentation, Dual Control logs, Overdraft Decisioning, Fee Waivers, and Branch Opening/Closing Procedures.
  • Conduct quarterly branch audits of negotiable instrument, teller drawers, vault cash, and all appropriate logs to ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures and all applicable federal and state regulations and laws.
  • Assist Branch Manager and Call Center Manager with operation related challenges.
  • Identify resource constraints as well as employee insufficiencies and recommend solutions for overall improvement and stability.
  • Foster relationships across the bank's departments to streamline productivity and increase morale.
  • Create and monitor deposit operations reporting in the areas of teller losses, check fraud, overdraft decisioning, fee waivers, KYC documentation, and other key areas.
  • Periodically present at the Bank’s Risk and Compliance Committees.
  • Partners with other areas to establish, create, and maintain appropriate disclosures for all deposit and fee products (checking, savings, money market, CD, IRA, Overdraft, Full Fee Schedule).
  • Assist Retail Leadership and Product Management by monitoring and maintaining deposit rates, fees, and parameter settings in Fiserv ClearTouch.
  • Completes assigned training related to applicable products, services, and Bank Regulations in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • 5 or more years of banking experience, ideally in branch banking, digital banking and deposit operations roles.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • College degree from an accredited institution
  • 2-3 years of Fiserv ClearTouch (or comparable) Core system experience
  • 2-3 years of digital bank support
  • Some experience with Web Capture SCO, Reclamations, IntraFi, Client 360, Bond Redemptions, and Card Management
