Senior Strategic Project Sourcing Specialist
Seeking a Sr. Strategic Project Sourcing Specialist for a successful manufacturing plant in Starkville. Fully remote!
Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to global procurement strategy of the company's NPI, Engineering and Sales teams
- Supports supplier sourcing activities; the evaluation of suppliers to establish business compatibility criteria; the negotiation of delivery, quality, cost, and compliance requirements. Supports the sourcing process from initial contact, Request for Quote and First Article Inspection through the completed receipt of First Purchase Order materials
- Collaborate with engineering, cross-functional teams, and other project resources in planning, developing, optimizing, and executing the project sourcing strategy including target costs, schedules, and other assigned project deliverables
- Leverage supplier engineering resources in selecting the best product for the intended application
- Ensures that RFQ to fulfilment processes, resources, and materials are documented with technical drawings, bills of materials, bills of operations, costing, ERP system-ready data and any other documentation needed to meet business needs. Manages project tracking documents to ensure timely updates and data accuracy
- Play a major role in determining target costs with a focus on products and components utilizing should cost modeling and other target costing methods. Perform cost structure analysis, identify cost drivers and areas for cost improvement
- Support engineering on NPI supplier and material selection with a standard procurement approach (quality, total cost, delivery time, innovation, avoid single sourcing, promote standardization)
- Prepare and execute negotiations on terms & conditions for assigned suppliers
- Manage escalations regarding delivery, quality and overall performance issues
- Develop and deliver on COGS reduction initiatives
- Understands and practices the company quality procedures
- Ensure supply continuity by screening & assessing suppliers
- Initiate ramp-up planning with suppliers
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- 5 years experience in NPI sourcing/engineering role
- Experience in OEM manufacturing of equipment utilizing hydraulics/electronics controls highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required (preferably Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management)
- PMP is a plus
- Training: ERP, Quality Management System

Salary: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
