Location: Richland, MS
Salary: $125K–$140K + Benefits
Service Specialists recruiting agency is partnering with a well-established company in the manufacturing/building materials space is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a high-impact role supporting day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with leadership to drive performance and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Partner with operations and leadership to analyze performance and support decision-making
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a strong team environment
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Maintain internal controls and support audit processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and shared services teams
- Support special projects and system/process enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, close process, and internal controls
- ERP experience (SAP or similar preferred)
- CPA or CPA-track is a plus
- Proven leadership or mentorship experience
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
