Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee a broad range of corporate accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, intercompany transactions, month-end and year-end close, internal controls documentation, audit support, tax preparation coordination, and accounting research. This role will also supervise accounting staff and support major transactions and strategic accounting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure accounting policies, systems, and processes remain compliant with GAAP
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Perform ongoing general ledger maintenance and review
• Support annual financial audits and tax return preparation processes
• Oversee a broad range of corporate accounting functions
• Maintain and monitor internal control documentation and compliance processes
• Support acquisition accounting and other major transaction-related accounting activities
• Research and analyze appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions
• Prepare materials for quarterly Board of Directors meetings
• Review subsidiary ledgers and general ledger reconciliations
• Analyze and reconcile accounting transactions
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as needed
• Record recurring accounting transactions within the general ledger
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA required
• Minimum 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience
• Public company accounting experience preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Experience with federal government contracting preferred
• Experience working across multiple legal entities preferred
• Exceptional analytical and technical accounting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
• Valid driver’s license required
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a salaried position operating within a professional office environment on a standard 40-hour work week. Minimal travel may occasionally be required for trainings, seminars, or conferences.
Salary: $125,000- $135,000 + bonus
