A well-established Mississippi title company is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to join its Flowood team. This person will manage real estate transactions from the initial title order through closing and post-closing, working closely with lenders, loan officers, real estate professionals, attorneys, buyers, and sellers.

Manage residential real estate transactions from initial order through closing and post-closing
Review buyer, seller, lender, and attorney instructions to determine escrow and closing requirements
Order and review title reports and work to resolve title defects, liens, judgments, and other encumbrances
Prepare and review title commitments and closing documents
Prepare and balance Closing Disclosures (CDs) according to lender instructions
Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, buyers, sellers, and other parties throughout the transaction
Assemble complete closing packages and verify documents for accuracy and completeness
Conduct closings, explain documents and procedures, answer questions, and obtain required signatures
Balance incoming and outgoing funds to ensure accurate disbursement
Disburse loan proceeds following lender approval
Prepare title policies and complete post-closing requirements
Maintain accurate, organized transaction files
Ensure transactions comply with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
Manage multiple closings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service
3+ years of escrow, title processing, or real estate closing experience preferred
Hands-on experience with CD preparation and balancing, closing document preparation, title commitments, policies, and post-closing
Strong understanding of common closing documents, including CDs, deeds, mortgages, notes, affidavits, and related documents
Comfortable explaining closing documents and procedures to buyers and sellers
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong customer service and communication skills
Able to prioritize and manage a high-volume pipeline without sacrificing accuracy
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of transactions from start to finish
Experience with SoftPro Real Estate Closing Software is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
High school diploma or equivalent required
$60,000–$70,000, depending on experience
