HR Business Partner

Service Specialists is recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner for a growing, well-established company in the Jackson area. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, partnering directly with leadership, and making an impact across a fast-paced, multi-location organization.

This role will serve as a trusted HR resource to managers and employees, with a strong focus on employee relations, recruiting, performance management, onboarding, and HR compliance. We’re looking for someone who can confidently navigate sensitive employee matters while also building strong relationships and helping leaders create effective, high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and day-to-day HR needs
• Conduct workplace investigations and provide thoughtful, compliant recommendations
• Coach leaders through disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for positions ranging from frontline employees to leadership roles
• Coordinate onboarding and help create a positive, consistent new-hire experience
• Support training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
• Ensure HR policies and practices remain consistent and compliant with employment laws
• Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR reporting, audits, and documentation
• Partner with payroll and benefits teams to resolve employee questions and ensure accuracy
• Track trends in turnover, hiring, engagement, and employee relations and help identify opportunities for improvement
• Support HR projects, organizational changes, and process improvements as the company continues to grow

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Strong background in employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and recruiting
• Experience supporting multiple locations or a fast-paced operational environment is a plus
• Comfortable advising managers and handling sensitive employee situations independently
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems; UKG/UltiPro experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
