A well-established retail business in Brandon, Mississippi is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Liquor Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a high-volume store. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, leading a team, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience while maintaining compliance with all state and local alcohol regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily store operations and ensure efficient workflow
Lead, train, schedule, and develop store employees
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain accurate stock records
Manage merchandising, product displays, and store appearance
Ensure compliance with all Mississippi ABC laws, company policies, and safety standards
Handle cash management, deposits, and daily sales reporting
Monitor store performance and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
Maintain relationships with vendors and distributors
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
Previous retail management experience required
Experience in a liquor, wine, beer, grocery, convenience, or specialty retail environment is preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Experience with inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
