Job Description

Service Specialists is recruiting on behalf of a growing construction company seeking an experienced Regional / Site Safety Manager to help lead and strengthen safety initiatives across active construction projects in the Jackson, Mississippi area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction safety professional who is passionate about protecting people, identifying risks, and building a proactive safety culture. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with field teams, leading safety training, conducting jobsite audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary safety leader for assigned construction projects.
  • Conduct safety orientations and training for employees, subcontractors, and other jobsite personnel.
  • Perform daily jobsite safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and potential risks.
  • Provide real-time guidance to field teams regarding hazard prevention and safe work practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of safety plans for high-risk construction activities.
  • Monitor jobsite compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Track, maintain, and report safety metrics and performance.
  • Partner with project management and field leadership to address safety concerns and improve overall jobsite performance.
  • Promote a proactive, people-focused safety culture across all assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of construction safety experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, including 29 CFR 1926.
  • Experience working on active construction jobsites.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead training and speak confidently with groups.
  • Proven ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with safety management systems and technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record required.

Work Environment

  • Regular work on active construction jobsites.
  • Ability to walk jobsites, climb, lift, and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
  • Local travel to assigned jobsites may be required.

Compensation

  • $90,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience
