We are conducting a confidential search for a well-established, employee-owned engineering firm seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer / Project Manager to support DOT and municipal projects across the Southeast.

This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to lead roadway projects, manage client relationships, and mentor team members within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design and project management for DOT and municipal projects
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with DOT standards, specifications, and timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
• Manage project documentation (contracts, change orders, approvals)
• Support project financials including invoicing and budgets
• Contribute to business development and client relationships
• Mentor and support junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of roadway design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Strong experience with DOT standards and projects
• Proficiency in OpenRoads (GEOPAK preferred)
• Proven ability to manage multiple or complex projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Approximately 10% travel required
