A well-established Mississippi title company is seeking a Title & Escrow Assistant to join its team. This position will work closely with escrow and closing officers to help keep real estate transactions organized and moving smoothly from contract through closing. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in title, real estate, mortgage lending, legal support, or working with a high-volume real estate professional is strongly preferred.
Provide administrative and transaction support to escrow and closing officers
Obtain loan payoffs, tax estimates, and other information needed for closing
Request and coordinate title searches
Assist with verifying judgments, liens, and other title-related information
Prepare and proofread title commitments, certificates of title, deeds, and other documents
Prepare and organize closing documents
Gather required signatures and ensure files are complete and accurate
Communicate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and other parties throughout the closing process
Answer client questions and provide timely updates regarding transactions
Enter and maintain accurate information within company systems
Assist with processing escrow documents and initiating files
Disburse and finalize files following closing
Manage multiple transactions, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
Previous experience in title, escrow, real estate, mortgage, legal, or transaction coordination is preferred
Experience supporting a high-volume real estate professional or office is a plus
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional and customer-service focused
Able to prioritize tasks and follow through without letting details fall through the cracks
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook
Comfortable learning new technology and industry-specific software
High school diploma or GED required
$40,000–$50,000, depending on experience
