Location: Within ~3 hours of Ridgeland, MS
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
A successful marketing agency is seeking a Content Strategist to guide the structure, messaging, and purpose behind its digital presence. This role focuses on strategic website content planning, ensuring every page, message, and user interaction serves a clear objective.
This is not a social media or content creator role. Instead, the Content Strategist will work cross-functionally to organize and direct the elements of a website — aligning design, messaging, and user experience to support business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the content strategy and structure for company websites
- Plan and organize website pages to ensure clear messaging and user flow
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and internal stakeholders to bring web experiences together
- Define content hierarchy, navigation, and page purpose
- Ensure website content aligns with brand voice, marketing goals, and user needs
- Review and refine website copy and messaging for clarity and impact
- Analyze user behavior and site performance to improve engagement and effectiveness
- Guide the development of new website sections, landing pages, and digital experiences
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, web strategy, or similar roles
- Strong understanding of how websites are structured to drive engagement and conversions
- Ability to connect business goals with website messaging and user experience
- Experience collaborating with designers and developers on digital projects
- Strong organizational and project management skills
Preferred Background
- Experience working with website platforms or CMS tools (WordPress or similar)
- Familiarity with SEO and user experience principles
- Experience in marketing, digital strategy, or website planning
