Seeking a successful Staff Accountant for a growing manufacturing/distribution company to join our client's finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and perform monthly/month-end closing
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g. AR, AP, inventory, prepaid, accruals)
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
  • Support cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial analysis (e.g. cost accounting, budget variance)
  • Help with audit preparation, internal controls, and compliance activities
  • Special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Understanding of GAAP principles
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Preferred: experience with ERP systems, cost accounting, or manufacturing accounting
