Camp Counselor
Service Specialists is recruiting camp counselors for a Chrisian camp for girls based in Mentone, AL. This individual is a Chistian woman who has demonstrated competency in:
-nurturing children
-using wise judgment
-acting with maturity
-working diligently
-providing positive leadership
-living joyfully
Requirements:
-Completion of freshman year of college (or special permission from the Directors)
-Desire and ability to work with children outdoors
-Ability to relate well with one’s peer group
-Ability to accept supervision and guidance
-Strong moral character, integrity, and adaptability
-Endurance and strength to maintain constant supervision of campers
-Enthusiasm, patience, and self-control
-General experience in demonstrating nurture and concern for children
The mission of this camp is to provide a place where a girl can play and have fun in the truest and best sense; a place where she will learn better how to give and receive in relationships; a place where she can feel that she belongs. We want each camper to become better at responding to the unpleasant and difficult experiences that are an inevitable part of life, to grow in her own independence, and to develop in her understanding and appreciation of who she is. More than anything, we want her to be confident of God’s love for her as an individual.
