Project Manager (Commercial Construction)
Commercial Construction Project Manager | Corinth, MS | $110k–$125k + Growth Opportunity
Seeking an experienced Project Manager for a well-established, family-owned commercial construction company based in Corinth, Mississippi. This successful individual will take the lead on major projects ranging from $5M–$25M. This is a key role with a clear path to grow into a Senior Project Executive position.
Corinth is a great community to raise a family and close to Tupelo, Oxford, Memphis, and Starkville. The role offers flexibility to work out of the Corinth office or live in Tupelo, with limited travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through close-out
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Oversee project performance, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and according to plans and specifications
- Manage relationships and communications with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Review and negotiate contracts, including GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) contracts
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor progress and ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with superintendents and field staff to resolve any issues or delays
- Provide accurate and timely project reporting to company leadership
- Manage project documentation including RFI logs, submittals, change orders, and close-out materials
- Ensure all local, state, and federal regulations and codes are adhered to
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Proven experience managing projects in the $5M–$25M range
- Strong understanding of GMP contracts, construction documents, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or Primavera), and budgeting
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes
