Senior Manager of FP&A
Seeking a Senior Manager of FP&A for a corporation located in Ridgeland, MS. This successful individual will play a critical role in the company's financial planning and analysis operations. This person will be responsible for administering management reporting and financial planning processes, driving centralized and harmonized reporting, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensure accurate, efficient, and actionable financial insights for the organization. The individual will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing consolidated financial statements, developing multi-year and annual operating plans, and evaluating strategic investments. In addition, the Corporate FP&A Lead will help determine the company’s capital structure and assist with external reporting to the Board of Directors and lenders.
This team member will report to the Sr. Director of FP&A, while partnering with the senior leaders to help the company define and achieve its short and long-term goals and objectives. The Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A will directly manage and oversee select members of the FP&A team.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and operating plans that align with corporate objectives and operations goals.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decisions and identify areas for cost optimization.
- Monitor and analyze costs related to Corporate support functions and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Assist in developing business cases for new capabilities, highlighting strategic and financial value to ensure acceptable return
- Identify and execute revenue generating and expense reduction initiatives and plans
- Prepare and present financial reports including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Perform financial analysis on organic and inorganic investment opportunities
- Be a trusted advisor to the Sr. Director of FP&A and senior leadership team, highlighting opportunities for process improvement and enhanced profitability
- Develop reporting and presentations for management, Board of Directors, and lenders.
- Manage, recruit, train, and retain select members of the FP&A team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or similar field required.
- 7+ years of experience working in corporate finance, financial analysis roles, and data analytics required or a combination of the experience and Education, with a preference to experience in telecommunication or business services industries.
- Experience managing direct reports and interfacing with senior management required.
- Strong mastery of financial modeling, data analysis, and written and oral communication required.
- Track record of progressive performance across professional career required.
- Strong proficiency using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word along with financial and business systems such as Tm1/IBM Planning Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Oracle Fusion.
- This role will include a relatively modest amount of travel for periodic meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Salary: Around $175k base + up to $20,000 bonus opportunity
