Staff Accountant (Remote)

Service Specialists recruiting agency is seeking a Staff Accountant for a successful, modular homes company in Mississippi. This individual will assist in daily accounting duties and have experience with accounting principles and practices, possess excellent analytical skills, and be proficient in accounting software. Remote position with the ability to travel for initial training in North Mississippi. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports
• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• Conduct account analysis and reconciliation
• Perform journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close processes

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years accounting/bookkeeping required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
